For many people, God’s presence feels the most real in times of worship or while listening to the preacher on Sunday. Normally, I’d say that’s true for me as well. But sometimes we feel God’s presence the strongest outside of church, or any other faith setting for that matter. Often times, I experience His glory and truly feel him beside me while outdoors. Being able to stand back and take in His creation and the majesty of it brings me closer to him ways that I haven’t experienced anywhere else. To think of how detailed and beautiful the nature is around me, reminds me of how beautifully and wonderfully made I am. When I feel like I am on the highest mountain, I can turn and praise God for all things that are good. When I feel like I am in the lowest valley, I can turn to God and praise him because even though I might be in a time of struggle in my life, he is there with me and will show me the path forward. Taking time to be outdoors and admire his creation reminds me to take time and admire what he has created in my life.
